It depends on these factors:
- How long or chronic the issue or situation has been present for you, how many different layers there are to it, and how much (if any) self-enquiry, inner work, coaching or therapy you’ve already done around it
- The individuals willingness to implement changes, to take action based on guidance and “homework” received in session
- What type of journey you want to experience. We go much deeper in each subsequent session. Time and space is needed to make big changes and we must honour the body and soul and its desired, healthy rate for changes. Think of it this way – it is much better and healthier to lose weight permanently with an ongoing lifestyle and stress management plan, rather than a quick-fix crash diet
Most commonly, clients will begin by seeing me for anywhere between 3 and 10 sessions.
This is not to say that shifts and changes don’t occur after one session – they absolutely do. As with any type of therapy – a series of sessions creates long-term, lasting results.
I don’t recommend one-off sessions; it is a far better use of time and money to plan for at least 3-4. The work simply isn’t complete after one session. Kinesiology is similar in this way to other therapists such as Psychologists, Acupuncturists and Osteopaths etc. where a series of sessions is optimal.
Kinesiology is beneficial both for targeted work around particular goals, and ongoing health and happiness maintenance.
A good analogy is this: we don’t service our car once, and expect it to run well forever. We experience “wear and tear” as we go about life and are faced with stressors. Kinesiology sessions provide a framework to service ourselves as such.
Prevention is better than cure, as we all know. It is far more effective and gentle on the being to keep our systems running optimally, ongoing.
After their first block of sessions, clients book in for sessions or a package again as they feel they need to. As we progress and evolve, new sets of challenges can and do arise. Having regular ongoing Kinesiology sessions is crucial to maintain inner harmony, relieve stress and stay on track with what you want to create and experience in your life.
I personally have a session myself, at least once per month. As a practitioner it is paramount to stay aligned with my soul, my personal goals and keep my energy in tip-top shape. Kinesiology supports us as we deepen our connection to ourselves and the world around us. It is an incredible process of self-discovery.
It is ideal to plan for a minimum of 3-4 sessions to begin with, 2 or 3 weeks apart.
Aside from my recommended minimum of 3-4, no. One of my primary aims within my work is to empower you to make the best decisions for your life. To stay connected to your truth, to trust your gut, your intuition, your inner knowing.
Our intuition is like a muscle. The more we use it the stronger and clearer it becomes.
I encourage my clients to trust their inner knowing, to choose when and how often they book in.
This is why my packages are available to existing clients only – they’ve worked with me already and can make the decision to purchase with total certainty that this is the right decision for them. They’ve experienced the benefits of Kinesiology with me already, they’re experiencing lots of positive change in their life, and their sessions are an essential component of their self-care and commitment to their happiness and wellbeing.
I cannot predict exactly how many appointments one may need, and nor can any other type of therapist – Psychologist, Counsellor, Chiropractor, Physiotherapist, Psychotherapist, Naturopath, Podiatrist, etc. As with every kind of kind of therapy, results cannot be guaranteed and depend on many unique factors pertaining to the individual.

Each Kinesiologist works differently. This is based on where or what we’ve studied, our personal life experiences and our passions.
Choose a Kinesiologist who resonates with you, and who works with what you specifically need help with. Some specialise in physical structure, nutrition, with specific diseases, or brain integration to name a few areas.

It is a sacred relationship between Kinesiologist and client. My clients often share things with me that they’ve never shared with another person. All information is kept strictly confidential. It is the deepest honour to serve and be trusted in this way, and I don’t take this lightly.
When choosing a Kinesiologist, trust whom you are drawn to. You’re feeling a pull for a reason. It may not be evident why at first, but you must trust your gut.
You are always releasing stress of some kind, in session. When I say stress, I don’t mean the mental level stress that most of us associate the word “stress” with. As a Kinesiologist, we are referring to stress held in the cells of the body, along with the mind and the soul. My clients always report some form of relief and a sense of feeling lighter, freer and clearer. What troubled them pre-session no longer has the same emotional charge. As to what degree this is experienced, it is completely individual and as above, can depend on how much work has been done prior.
Energy work can have a detox type affect on the body. How you feel immediately after and in the days following a session can vary greatly while things integrate.
Generally one of three things tend to occur:
- You may feel fantastic and full of energy immediately following a session
- You may feel exhausted then gradually better and better over time
- Occasionally you can feel symptoms (physical, emotional, or even external circumstances) temporarily worsen before getting better. Don’t be alarmed if this is the case. Energy work can occasionally cause symptoms to appear to get worse, as the body needs to express itself in order to heal itself. In any detox, you can feel worse before you feel better.
I don’t recommend having evening plans after a session. Rest and nurturing me-time is best afterwards. If you do have plans, don’t stress – it’s all OK. Just take it easy, go slow, and drink plenty of water. I send this guideline via email to each client post session.

Absolutely. It’s a highly beneficial service to experience both for Mum and the baby in the womb. A relaxed and happy mumma, is a relaxed and happy baby. Kinesiology while pregnant is a powerful way to support and nurture yourself through this precious time, and set yourself up for an optimal and healthy birth, both physically and mentally.
It’s best to advise me prior to your session if pregnant, only to ensure that I can set up my table with pillows so that it is comfortable for you, and to know not to use any essential oils.
There are some essential oils that are not recommended while pregnant. I usually have oils in the burner and often work with them on the body, so please make me aware that you’re pregnant prior.
First off – there isn’t ever anything wrong with you. There isn’t. There may be things that don’t feel good, stress or trauma, you may be unwell or out of balance in some way, but there is never anything wrong about you.
You are wise, beautiful, strong and a miracle of creation!
I do know what you mean though. The answer is no, you don’t need to have a particular issue to need a session. I work with clients as they up-level. It is similar to coaching, with energy work.
An example: I have a lot of creative and holistic entrepreneurs as clients who work with me as their business grows, both for energy maintenance and clearing blocks around creativity, decision making, finances, visibility and attracting their soul clients or customers. They’re working with me to maintain optimum energy levels, to stay aligned to their goals, to keep expanding and to avoid stagnation.
Kinesiology does not diagnose, treat known medical conditions or prescribe. Rather, Kinesiology is balancing the underlying causes of issue/symptoms, enabling the being the opportunity to heal itself and change it’s reality.
The modality is based on the premise that the body and soul has an innate ability to self-heal, and if that process isn’t occurring, we can identify what is causing the “glitch” in the system and rectify it. Kinesiology is balancing the energy of the being, in alignment with particular goals.
Kinesiology is a Complementary Therapy. It is not a substitute nor does it replace treatment by a medical professional such as a GP, Psychologist, or Specialist. It works well with and enhances such treatment.
